Zucchini / Courgette.
The zucchini and the courgette are the same plant. The name zucchini is used in the US and Australia – whilst courgette is used in the UK and New Zealand. Whatever you call it … it’s a mild tasting squash that’s perfect for blending.
The zucchini disappears when blended. So it’s one of those vegies that you can sneak in under the radar for kids. Nevertheless, it’s very nutritious, very low calories and adds a creamy note to the mixture – so it’s a great addition to your arsenal.
You can use any variety you wish. Just wash, break into two and thrown in the blender – no need to chop or peel.
