Strange Brew.

Every so often I like to create something a little bit different…

  • ½ apple – cored
  • 1 cup black grapes
  • ¼ cup coconut
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ cup water

I love experimenting with stuff – especially food. Most of my smoothie experiments don’t exactly work out and tend to happen at the end of the week when the list of ingredients available in the fridge has started to hit rock bottom.

However … just occasionally they work out brilliantly – and this is just one of those cases.

I’m using coconut flesh from an actual coconut – shock horror. I bought it in a fit of creativity inspired shopping and it’s been looking at me for a couple of weeks now waiting to be used. I felt it’s gaze every time I walk into the kitchen.

The grapes and coconut need a good whizz to ensure there are no icky bits.

The result is a creamy yet fruity purpley smoothie – delicious and very tasty.

Not bad at all!
