A great introduction to smoothies that’s impossible to dislike – packed full of health benefits and takes a couple of minutes to prepare.

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • ¼ to ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ to 1 cup crushed ice and/or
    cold water, depending on how
    runny you like it

Throw them all in and blend away until the ice has been mashed up. The result is thick, creamy, sweet and delicious. Add more or less water to get the right consistency.

Variations (not all at the same time though!)

  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • Teaspoon of honey
  • 2 Teaspoons of nuts
  • Milk instead of yogurt

Note: These ingredients make enough for one person. Just scale them up if you need more.
