Banana SmoothieMy version of the all-time classic banana smoothie…

  • 1 large or 2 small bananas
  • 1 generous tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 lavish squeeze of honey
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • ¼ to ½ cup water

The banana smoothie is one of the oldest and the most popular smoothies that people make. There are lots of different recipes out there … including everything from chocolate to strawberries, from nuts to tofu, from beetroot to kale! I thought I would give you my version :)

I’ve always been a fan of bananas and peanut butter – and the taste still brings back memories of childhood. You need to add a generous heaped tablespoon of peanut butter – and you must lick the spoon clean!!

The honey and the yogurt add sweetness and silk to the smoothie. The result is a luxurious mixture … sweet, creamy, nutty, thick and very tasty!

I love this as a desert – after something spicy or savoury. It’s quick to make and always a hit! Replace the water with ¼ cup of Baileys liqueur for a real treat!
