Christmas Cake Smoothie.

Around 400 Calories.

They said it couldn’t be done (well, they actually said “why on earth are you doing that?”, which amounts to the same thing, almost) … and after three attempts … I give you … drum roll please … Christmas Cake Smoothie :)

  • 1 slice of fruit cake – between
    ¼ and ⅓ cups worth
  • ½ banana
  • ½ ripe pear
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ cup iced water

Don’t try this one if you’ve not got a sweet tooth or two!

Just throw it all in a blender and give it a quick whizz. The result is a thick and sweet mixture that tastes of Christmas cake. What more could you want from a Christmas cake smoothie?

This one will certainly fill you up and probably ensure you don’t touch anything else sweet for a few hours.

One variation is to first eat the slice of christmas cake and then make the smoothie :)
