Almond and Cinnamon Fusion.

Rich, thick and creamy – a satisfying recipe that will keep hunger at bay for a while.

  • ½ banana
  • ½ apple – cored
  • Small handful of whole almonds
  • Handful of greens – I’m using a “Little Gem” lettuce
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 cup of water and ice – more if you like it runny

Put the almonds and iced water in first – and blitz on high until smooth. Then add the rest of the ingredients. One cup of water should be enough – but you can add more if you like it runny. Ice is good as it’ll keep the smoothie cool after all that blending.

Any greens that don’t have too much flavour are suitable here – I’ve chosen a head of “Little Gem” lettuce. Whatever you have to hand is fine.

The result is a creamy smoothie that’s tastes naughty – but is actually very good for you.
