Full flavoured, thick and tasty – a smoothie to get you up and out…

  • 1 large handful spinach
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 ripe pear
  • 1 cup mixed berries, I’m using blueberries and cranberries here
  • ½ cup iced water

This is one of the few smoothies that takes cranberries well. Normally a bit too sour – they go well when blended with blueberries and pineapple. Any other mix of berries will do though.

The resulting taste is full and rich. The slight sour note from the berries helping give it a bit of attitude.

If this smoothie was a rock band – it would be more Led Zeppelin than The Beatles!
