A light smoothie that’s great for the cardiovascular system…

  • ½ cup grapes
  • 1 apricot – destoned
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 small zucchini / courgette
  • ½ cup water

Apricots, celery, zucchini and grapes are all ingredients that are renowned for their cardiovascular benefits and anti-inflammatory properties.

The taste is dry and fresh. The flavour hovers somewhere between the apricot and celery. The zucchini won’t ever come through – but the taste of the other three is quite variable and depends on the time or year and varieties used. So be prepared to adjust the quantities accordingly.

This smoothie is very low fat and so bursting with goodness it needs braces just to keep it in the glass!
