Plum Sour Mash.
Something a bit different…
- Juice ½ a lime
- 1 large plum (stoned)
- 1 smallish carrot
- 1 smallish zucchini/courgette
- 2 stalks of celery
- ¼ cup plain yogurt
- ½ cup iced water
I’m always on the lookout for something a little bit different – and this recipe certainly is.
This smoothie has a dry taste – largely that of the plum. However, it also has a nice sharp edge due to the lime. This is very different from a lot of other smoothies that tend to be soft and sweet.
The carrot, zucchini and celery give it plenty of body and nutrition.
I happen to love this. It’s not too sour – just enough to give it the right balance. It’s also not sweet, which is a nice change.
All-in-all, a smoothie for when you’re after something a little bit out of the ordinary.
