Deceptively simple, this is a rich and nutty smoothie that’s both delicious and filling.

  • Around a dozen Almonds
  • ⅔ cup iced water
  • One generous scoop of
    unsalted peanut butter
  • ½ Banana
  • Medium carrot

You can use almond milk instead of the water and almonds. I find using almonds easier – as I always have them to hand. Put the almonds and water in first and give a quick whizz – to ensure there are no bits.

The almonds and peanut butter should be in similar quantities. This gives the mixture a nice almondy / peanuttery taste.

The end result is a rich and smooth mixture that goes down very well. All the ingredients are slow release – so this smoothie will fill you up and keep you satisfied for quite a while.

It’s ideal to have after exercise, or as a quick pick-me-up on a busy day.
