An indulgent smoothie that will fill you for hours.
- Small handful almonds
- 2 or 3 dates
- ¼ Cup oats
- 1 Banana
- 1 Cup iced water
This is one of my favourite smoothies – rich, sweet and very satisfying. Not one I have every day – but it’s a great choice when I need to grab something before I go out for the evening.
All the ingredients are fairly high in calories – so it’s not one for the dieters. However, the result is very filling and will keep hunger at bay for quite a while.
The almonds and the dates will take a while to break up. I don’t every try – I love having bits of almond and date in the mixture.
The resultant smoothie is sweet – great for those of us with a sweet tooth.
